Schroeder's Opponent was Recruited by Rammell Campaign Staff

Rex Rammell admits he encouraged and endorsed local candidates, but the truth goes much deeper. Beginning in September 2009 a "grassroots group" organized a rally in Potlatch. Although advertised as a local group, they reported their finances to the Secretary of State as the Rex Rammell for Governor campaign, spending almost $4,000 to attract a crowd of around 50 people.

The "Potlatch Group," aka the Rex Rammell campaign, continued operating and set about recruiting an opponent for Senator Gary Schroeder. Rammell had previously attacked Schroeder, Phil Batt, Mike Crapo and Jim Risch. As the filing deadline approached, various insiders became concerned and contacted me to reveal what was happening. The "Potlatch Group" also wrote about their recruiting activities on their web site.

Lo and behold at our Lincoln Day Banquet Schroeder's opponent was at Rex Rammell's right hand applauding Rammell's plan to gut our schools in front of over 100 Republican leaders from Latah County and around the state. He introduced his campaign manager, who is also Rammell's Latah County campaign manager. Not only are the two campaigns connected, they are the exact same person. Not surprisingly, she and Rex Rammell's regional campaign manager are also the leaders of the "Potlatch Group".

The Rammellites have been misleading Latah County voters for nine months and spending a massive amount of money in their quest for power and to take over our local Republican Party. Fortunately for all of us, they left a paper trail which you can view below.
